The primary expertise of Kogan Consulting is in acoustic, ultrasonic, eddy current and other non-destructive testing methods including acoustic emission (AE),and measurements/solutions for environmental noise and vibration control.

Our AE/NDT equipment selection includes:

Our noise and vibration services include:

• Environmental noise measurement and assessment
• Prediction
• Design and installation of solutions for acoustic spaces
• Liaison with authorities

Our experience is built on applying these technologies in commercial, built and industrial environments and for other types of environmental assessment including agriculture and food production. Formed in 1999, we draw on over 30 years of expertise in this field

Materials and engineering systems applications

We also have developed specialized probes for acoustic detection of insect pests in conjunction with the agricultural related research organisations, for detection of :

insect pests in nursery pots (Black Vine Weevil)
wood boring insects (Asian Longhorned Beetle)
insect pests in stored grains (weevils)
destructive ants (fire ants, carpenter ants)
date palms (Red Palm Weevil)
